Black Magic Cake Recipe
Hi folks!
This is an amazing and classic recipe for "Black Magic Cake"
Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour or maida, (sifted)
- 3/4 cups cocoa powder
- 1-2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon powder instant coffee mixed in 1/2 cup boiling water
*Optional* : 2 teaspoons of chocolate extract
(for extra chocolate goodness)
Method:
- Preheat oven to 350 degree F, or 175 degree C
- Grease the pan or pans ( one 9 x 13 inch pan, or 2 9 inch round cake pans)
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
- Make a well in the center, and add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract.
- Beat for 3 minutes on medium speed.
- Batter will be comparatively thin.
- Pour the mixture in the cake pan and bake for 30-40 minutes at 175 degree C.
- Cool for 10 minutes and then dish out.
- Fill, frost and enjoy! :)
Note:
- You can easily make buttermilk by adding 1 teaspoon of vinegar in 1 cup of milk.
- 1 cup = 16 tablespoons
- 3/4 cup = 12 tablespoons
